seasons of love v2

I guess I was thinking about yesterday’s poem subconsciously. As I was waking up this morning, this new version formed in my head without my thinking about it. Funny how our brains work 🙂

Love blew in
on Spring’s cool breeze.
And held us captive
through Summer’s languid heat.

Love crumbled
amid Autumn’s crisp leaves.
And slipped
like Winter’s cruel frost
beneath our feet.

Here’s the first version from yesterday:

We fell in love
on Spring’s cool breeze.

We felt alive
with Summer’s warm embrace.

We fell apart
like Autumn’s crisp leaves.

We felt love slip
across Winter’s cruel frost.
