Last Writing Journal Entry
Weekly post to keep me accountable for what I want to accomplish. Click to see all journal entries.
When I started these Journal entries back in June of last year, I had just started taking my writing seriously. I had so many ideas and directions I could go, but I had a hard time settling on where to spend my time. These journal entries were a way to help me focus on one or two stories so that I could actually finish writing something.
And now that I’ve accomplished that, I really don’t need these weekly entries as a way to keep me on task or to know where I will want to spend my writing time. So, this will be the last writing journal entry. I know exactly what I want to do and I have been doing it without the aid of the weekly update for the past few months.
With the help of some writing groups and a couple of writing programs that I started, I have two places that I’m focused on: my grandma Myrtle story, and my stories about fate and life. In fact I’m super excited to announce that I completed an 11,000 word short story that will be the entry into my series, and have already worked with an editor on getting it ready to publish. I’ll be posting more about that next week.
For everyone who has tuned in for my weekly updates, thank you! I’ll be posting more about the writing process, tools, and resources, so if that interests you, please keep following this blog.
